Establishing Professional Boundaries

The Client Relations Committee is currently exploring further ways to increase registrants’ understanding and management of boundary issues in professional practice.

As a start you may find it helpful to review the Practice Scenarios and Checklist found at the back of Drawing the Line: Guidelines for Establishing Professional Boundaries to Prevent Sexual Misconduct (PDF)

Additional scenarios have been developed by the committee to help your continued understanding of professional boundaries.

The committee has also developed a public information sheet to inform employers and the general public of what they should do if the suspect sexual misconduct by an occupational therapists.
