Under Section 16 of the Health Professions Act, it is the duty of the college at all times to serve and protect the public, and to exercise its powers and discharge its responsibilities accordingly. The college has both formal and informal investigation and resolution processes available to investigate concerns and complaints and to take appropriate action. The college is empowered, under specific conditions and circumstances, to remove or restrict a registrant's certificate to practice.
