Board and staff attended Lynda’s funeral and on behalf of COTBC extended their sincerest condolences to her family and friends.

Feedback on Practice Scenarios regarding Unregulated Support Personnel
Please provide us with feedback on any of the practice scenarios written to help registrants understand how to use the risk management tool when deciding whether to assign a task or not. There are five scenarios covering the following practice areas: Long Term Care, Acute Rehab – Stroke Unit, School-based Practice, Inpatient Mental Health and Acquired Brain Injury – Community Based Private Practice.
Continuing Declaration Forms Due February 15 Each Year
New registrants will receive their Continuing Competency package in the mail this fall. They are required to complete a self-assessment every two years, a professional development plan every year, and return their declaration forms to the office by February 15, 2008.
Ongoing registrants are required to review, revise and/or develop new professional development plans each year and return their declaration forms to the office by February 15, 2008. They are not required to complete a self-assessment this year unless a major change in their practice has occurred. For examples of major changes, please refer to page 3 of the Guide to Completing the Self-Assessment and Professional Development Plan, stored under Tab 6 of your Registrant Information and Resources Binder or available in the Resources section of this website.
Only the Continuing Competency Declaration form needs to be returned by February 15 of each year. Completed Self-Assessments and Professional Development Plans should be kept for five years and may be stored under Tab 6 of your Registrant Information and Resources Binder. They do not have to be sent into the college.
