Practice Guidelines

These are published by the College of Occupational Therapists of BC to help occupational therapists meet the college's essential competencies by:

  • Increasing registrants' knowledge of their responsibilities,
  • Describing expectations for practice,
  • Defining safe, ethical, competent practice, and
  • Guiding critical thinking for everyday practice.

Presently the College has four guidelines:
