Competence Assessment (Exam)
The Continuing Competence Committee recommended proceeding with a key features, case-based assessment which was approved by the college board at their September, 2009 meeting. This decision was not made lightly. The committee sought extensive consultations with other occupational therapy and other health professions regulatory organizations, as well as competence and education experts who provided evidence upon which to make this important decision. The development of the Continuing Competence Exam will proceed over the next 2-3 years, with the first group of registrants required to take the exam in 2014.
